Hi, I’m Raechel, the founder of Happy Baby Social Nest, alongside my partner, Everet.
HBSN was born from our experience as new parents to our “Pandemic Baby,” Tyson. We were searching for a place where families with young children could connect, play, learn, and build community—but couldn’t find what we were looking for nearby. So, we decided to create it ourselves.
With a background in early childhood education, child development, social-emotional learning, and communications, I have spent years working with children and families and creating opportunities for children to learn through meaningful, purposeful play. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Child Development and Social Behaviors and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from California State University Channel Islands. As well as, Certification of Completion of Social Emotional Arts on a Shoestring Training by UCLArts & Healing
What began as a small idea has grown into a thriving community serving hundreds of families throughout Ventura County. Through baby and toddler classes, preschool and TK enrichment, school partnerships, parent workshops, community events, playgroups, and pop-up experiences, HBSN brings play-based learning and connection into the spaces where families live, learn, and grow.
At the heart of everything we do is the belief that play is powerful. It helps children build confidence, communication, creativity, social-emotional skills, and meaningful relationships—all while having fun.
We believe Happy Baby Social Nest is more than a class. It’s a community where children are encouraged to explore and caregivers feel supported and connected.
